Characteristics: This Gramineae is characterized by its inflorescence, with all of its spikelets located on one side and pointing up, forming as such a long and skinny unilateral inflorescence. These plants grow upright and are green in colour, but may take on reddish and violet hues. Lives amongst other annuals in meadows, often on soils absent in carbonates.
