Characteristics: A small plant found in grain fields, erect, but no taller than 20 cm, with violet coloured flowers and a corolla much shorter than the calyx. The leaves are undulate, covered with hairs, scratchy to the touch. The calyx has a long tube that can grow to 2 cm in length and is divided into five erect lobes. Can be told apart from Legousia falcata, as with the later sp., the calyx lobes are curved outward, instead of straight, like those of Legousia hybrida. Flowers from May to June.
