Habitats: Cultivated fields, path and road sides, disturbed zones. Herbaceous communities in humid soils.

Characteristics: This is a Melilotus which is characteristic because its flowers are very small; they are grouped in long, dense inflorescences (more than the respective leaf). The pods are small, round and covered in striation. It can be mistaken for other Melilotus with small yellow flowers, like Melilotus sulcata, but we will distinguish it because of its fruit ornamentation and because of its subtle flower features (it is recommended to use classification keys).
