Characteristics: Small subshrub, ashgreen in colour with yellow capitula grouped into terminal globular inflorescences supported by long peduncles. Differs from the rest of the species of the same genus for its linear, narrow and very long leaves; additionally, the external involcre bracts are smaller and more rigid than the internals.
Observations: In Girona lives the var. libanotis.
