Habitats: Rock crevices and cliff faces. Fissures and cracks in shady, cool siliceous rock walls and outcrops.
Characteristics: Perennial plant with fronds (6)10–20(30) cm long, glabrous and lanceolate in shape (2-5 times longer than wide), widest at mid-length, and divided 2-3 times. The petiole is purplish-brown, and the central axis (rachis) is green. Basal pinnae are slightly shorter than the middle ones.
