Characteristics: This daisy flowers in winter and lives in forested areas, especially pines, have a rosette of basal leaves and the capitula arise over a large peduncle. It can be easily distinguished from Bellis annua because it does not have leaves attached to the stem and the flowers are clearly much larger.
