Characteristics: Characteristically in forest clearings, but also in mega forbic grasslands, riparian forests, rock outcrops, forest trailsides, etc. In soils ± humids and nitrificated. An herb with simple stems, very foliose and smooth. The leaves are lanceolate, sparse, sessile, reticulate and glauscent on the reverse. The flowers are disposed in terminal bracted racemes. The calyx is formed by 4 sepals, caduceus and puberulent. The corolla is formed by 4 petals, purplish, obtuse and uneven, the two inferiour are much more narrow. The gynoecium is clearly inferior. The fruit is a linear and downy capsule.
