Habitats: Non-saline wetlands (intermittent watercourses, streams, artesian wells, ditches). Mesophyll mountainous grasslands.
Characteristics: Wetland pastures, mown grasslands, spring and stream banks, forest clearings and edges, etc. A biennial or perennial herb, ± pilose, with wide leaves 1-2,5 cm. in length. Flowers are grouped in multifloral cymes (3-30 flowers) The petals are glabrous, a little longer than the sepals. The capsule opens into 10 teeth and measures 6-10 mm in length.
