Characteristics: Sparse cork-oak woods, thickets and sandy moors with acid soils. A plant with a languid pilosity, and at times can be deciduous. The cauline leaves are sessile and amplexicauline. The involucre is formed by bracts that finish in a linear appendage, cilate at the margin an non-decurrent for the bractal body. Flowers are pink and not radiant.
