Characteristics: Megaforbic grasslands, moist forest clearings and boundaries. An annual plant up to 1 m in height. The flowers are composed of five pale yellow tepals: the superior has a very elongate helmet and covers the two laterals: the two inferior tepals are smaller and exserted. Can be distinguished from Aconitum napellus by its yellow flowers, and from A. anthora as it's helmet that is much taller than wide.
