Characteristics: A small woody plant, very aromatic and up to 40 cm. in height. The disposition of the capitula and the floral density are very characteristic and the difference from other Thymbra that have flowers disposed in spikes is that the flowers of this species are lilac -pink in colour. The leaves are lanceolate and disposed in axial tufts; additionally they have orange-coloured glands at the margin.
