Characteristics: A branchy Amaranthus, ordinarily found growing prostrate and with whitish stems. Leaves are very rigid and small, with an ondulate margin and a mucronate apex. Can be mistaken for Amaranthus blitoides, precisely because of the stem's whitish tones and other floral characteristics.
Observations: This is a much cited plant in the Balearic Islands although actually it's not very frequent, perhaps A. blitoides has been oft mistakenly identified as this species.
