Characteristics: An annual Composite with yellow cylindrical capitula supported by an erect stem that is branched at the upper parts. The marginal flowers have short, revolute ligules. Leaves are fleshy, with lobules not very deep and reddish-violet in colour on the leaf reverse that makes them indistinguishable. The plant has a fennel-like odour.
