Characteristics: This is an Allium that is frequently found in dry garrigues (Mediterranean woodland), and also along roadsides. It is easily recognisable because the leaves have long, silky hairs along their margin. It has pure white petals and the stamens are longer than the petals (to distinguish it from A. subhirsutum) and yellow anthers.
