Characteristics: A tree that can reach the height of 11 m. and with a frondose crown. Leaves simple, oval or lanceolate, glabrous; although on the reverse downy when young and clear green in colour. Flowers are showy and rose coloured, similar to those of the Hibiscus, as they belong to the same family. The fruit is a capsule covered with stinging hairs.
