Characteristics: A biannual herb with a rosette of basal flowers; these leaves are hairy, they have a lanceolate limb with a blunt tip and a relatively long stalk. The stem leaves have no petiole. The inflorescence is formed in the second year; it is erect and greatly branched, each branch has the scorpion shape characteristic of the Boraginaceae family. The flowers are bluish, with darker veins. The fruits are very characteristic; each flower forms four pieces displayed in a cross, each covered in stings and tubercles. It lives in fields and along path-sides; it flowers at the end of spring.
