Habitats: Rock crevices and cliff faces. Rocky surfaces and dry stone walls. Walls and Rocks.
Characteristics: A small fern with fronds reaching 15 cm. in length, and leathery in texture. The petiole is of same length as the lamina. Leaf is triangular outline, erect (1-2 pinnated). Pinnae are alternate and with rhomboid pinnulae, both peticiolated. Sori are linear or more long than wide, with a linear indusium with a ciliated margin.
Observations: In the Balearic Islands, only this subspecies can be found, and always in rock crevices.
