Characteristics: A Carex which we will find near moist areas, often along the side of torrents (dry river beds) and marshes; it has a compact, tip inflorescence of up to 7 cm and intensely triangular stems. Carex divulsa lives in the same environment and it also has a terminal inflorescence but in this case it is not compact but interrupted.
