Characteristics: A very small but common annual cycle herb, lives on wet soils, a faithful colonizer of street tiles. Leaves are linear and opposite, and end in a short awn (examine with a magnifying glass!), this character easily differentiates it from Sagina maritima. Flowers have four sepals that open in the form of a cross when forming the capsule.
