Characteristics: This sowthistle lives in wet areas alongside the reds and rushes. Its elongate, almost entire, leaves with some fine teeth along the margin, often pale yellow green in colour are characteristic of this species. Perennial, emerge from a subterranean rhizome; a characteristic common to plants that inhabit flooded areas. The capitula have yellow flowers. Flowers fro the end of spring and through out summer.
