Characteristics: A small annual cycle herbaceous plant that lives in terraphytic fields, has divided leaves with very narrow segments, almost threadlike in appearance. An Umbelliferae, and its inflorescence is an umbel with white flowers. The fruit is very characteristic, as it has a large and rigid beak. Can be differentiated from Scandix pecten-veneris by its smaller dimensions, additionally, the carpophore is bifurcate at the apex. Flowers at the end of spring.
