Characteristics: Areas with shallow soils are often colonized by this species of the Crassulaceae family, and which have as a general trait the of being resistant to many hostile environments. This is a very small, annual plant, with erect stems covered with half mooned shaped leaves. Frequently, many individuals can be found grouped together forming a sort of a lawn that will turn red in colour, especially at the end of its growth cycle.
