Characteristics: It is very common to find this species of Geraniaceae in moors and in the clearings in garrigues (Mediterranean woodland). It can be distinguished by its composite leaves with deeply lobulate leaflets. The leaves are found on the ground forming a basal rosette. It can be distinguished from Erodium moschatum, which has also composite leaves, because the leaflets of this species are only dentate rather than lobulate, moreover it is much larger.
