Habitats: Xero-acanthic shrubs of the mountanous regions, and steppe-grasslands of Ampelodesmos mauritanica.
Characteristics: This Silene has only been found in the mountains of the Serra d´Artà in Mallorca (Although not an endemic, given that other examples live in other locations in the Western Mediterranean). Can be recognized by its long and narrow calyx, which takes on a reddish hue; petals are purple in colour. The only similar species is Silene cambessedesii
