Characteristics: An annual that can at times be perennial, grows erect with linear, thin stems. Leaves are Long and narrow. Flowers are large, up to a centimetre and a half in length, and a pale sky blue in colour. Like all species of this genus, petals can easily fall of at the slightest touch. The other Linum that live in the Balearic Islands have yellow flowers (less the subsp. angustifolium of this specie). Flowers at the end of spring.
