Characteristics: There are some plants which have an absolutely original, unique shape; this is the case of Evax pygmaea, which has grey leaves surrounding the inflorescences which are in the middle, forming a very characteristic image. The plants are very small, although they can reach several centimetres in diameter. They can be found without much difficulty in the wasteland of dry garrigues (Mediterranean woodland) in all the islands. It cannot be mistaken for any other plant.
