Characteristics: A Gramineae found along roadsides, abandoned fields and torrent beds. Very similar to Oryzopsis miliaceum of which it can be easily confused. Although Oryzopsis thomasii has inflorescences that form than twenty branches (up to fifty) on the inferior nodes while Oryzopsis miliaceum only forms from five to eight, the majority of them sterile. Flowers from spring until the beginning of summer.
