Characteristics: Annual or biennial herb, glabrous and glaucous. Stems 20-50 cm, erect, scarcely branched. Leaves alternate, entire, ovate-lanceolate (sometimes trilobed). Inflorescence lax. Flowers erect on pedicels up to 10 mm, with whitish petals, the upper ones divided into 3 lobes, and numerous stamens, longer than the petals, with yellowish anthers. Capsule cylindrical, trigonous, 15-30 mm, erect, with 3 apical teeth. Seeds 1 mm, ovoid, black.
