Characteristics: A small sized Carex with all spikes same in appearance and erect, forming a discontinuous inflorescence with the lower spike concisely pedunculate. This latter aspect differentiates it from C. oedipostyla, which has a peduncle that emerges from the base of the plant, although both species are very similar.
Observations: This species habitat is in holm-oak woods.
