Characteristics: An herbaceous plant up to 80 cm. in length. Leaves are composite with very dentate folioles. The flowers joined together in very compact terminal glomerules. As its name indicates, the fruit (the hip) is subspherical and covered with warts and four thick ribs the later which can remain hidden between the warts.
Observations: The warts present on the fruit are the most distinctive character of this species, as the rest of its characteristics can vary greatly.
