Characteristics: A small annual plant with upper leaves that have a pair of large and thin folioles those end in a very branched terminal tendril. The inflorescences have only on red flower, with the peduncle shorter or the same length as the axial leaf and lacking an awn or even at times with a small mucron that doesn't exceed the flower in length. The fruit is pedunculate, wide (up to 20 mm.) and contains tuberculate seeds (1-6).
