Characteristics: A small grass with a subterranean bulb, only reaches up to about a hand above the ground; is characterized by its white flowers with six tepals, grouped into an inflorescence that resembles an umbel (corymb). Ornithogalum arabicum, also with a corymbate inflorescence, shows much larger flowers and is over all a much larger plant (up to70 cm high). Flowers in spring.
